PELHAM, Henry (1694-1754). Prime Minister 1743-1754.
Document Signed, 1½ pages folio (portion torn from the right-hand side as usual for cancellation but neatly replaced), 11 April 1750. Ordering the payment of £3,000 to the Duke of Newcastle 'for his Majesties Secret Service'.
The document bears numerous dockets and endorsements and is signed also by Sir Thomas Pelham-Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle ('Holles Newcastle') [1693-1768, Prime Minister 1754-56 and 1757-60] on the second page, and by others including George, 1st Baron Lyttleton, Horatio Walpole (1678-1757) and the Second Earl of Orford.
