RUTHERFORD, Ernest, Baron (1871-1937). Physicist. First to split the atom. Menu for the Cavendish Dinner, Cambridge, 1923, signed in pencil by Rutherford and 35 others, mostly physicists, some rather faintly, a little soiled. A remarkable souvenir with the signatures of many of the most distinguished physicists of the age.
