ORANGE INSTITUTION
Certificate granting a Lodge Number, 1 page folio on vellum with red wax and orange paper seals (rather worn), County of Wexford, 15 September 1828. John Gurley is given the Lodge Number of 2004 and is appointed Master for the county and district of Wexford.

The Orange Institution, more commonly known as the Orange Order, was founded in County Armagh in 1795. The celebration of key dates in the Protestant calendar began in the 1690s and still continues today.
