SMITH, Sir James Edward (1759-1828). Founder and first president of the Linnean Society. Autograph manuscript, 1 page 4to (slightly dust-stained), 20 August 1792. A detailed description, entirely in Latin, of Lopezia racemosa. A note of identification in pencil at the foot. It would appear that the specimen in question came from Wormleybury, and therefore most likely from Sir Abraham Hume (1749-1838). [No: 25511]
