EDWARD VIII (1894-1972). King of Great Britain and Ireland etc. Abdicated in 1936. Letter Signed ('Edward / Duke of Windsor'), to Gerald Hamilton, 1 page 4to with envelope, 4 Route du Champ d'Entrainement, Paris, 10 February 1964. Thanking him for his book 'Blood Royal', and telling him that he had read it. '... You may like to know that I bought it recently in London and have enjoyed reding about my forebears and relations - most of them now passed on or relegated into obscurity. I have also learned more History.Gerald Hamilton (c. 1888-1970) had published Blood Royal, an account of the haemophilia that had afflicted the relatives and descendants of Queen Victoria this year, 1964. Jacaranda, an account of a trip to South Africa, had appear in 1961. Royal monogram in blue in the upper left hand corner; small nick in the upper margin; some slight wear, but in good condition. The envelope bears the autographs initial 'E' in the lower left. [No: 25444]
