KEMBLE, Charles (1775-1854). Actor, theatre manager and playwright. Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, 1 page 8vo with blank leaf (traces of mounting), T[heatre] R[oyal] C[ovent] G[arden], 16 February 1831. Evidently to an artist, possibly H.P. Briggs who executed a number of oils now in the National Portrait Gallery and Garrick Club, apologising for missing an appointment and promisng to sit the following Sunday.
