MINOR, William Chester (1834-1920). American surgeon; contributor to the OED.
Autograph Letter Signed to the lexicographer [James] Murray, 2 pages 8vo, Broadmoor, Crowthorne, Berkshire, 1 September 1887. Sending contributions to the Oxford English Dictionary and offering others. Minor was incarcerated in a lunatic asylum for murder, and spent his latter years furnishing quotations to the dictionary.
