Autograph Letter Signed to his lawyer Filippo Santocanale in Palermo, 1 page 4to with address-leaf, Bologna, 16 August 1840. An affectionate business letter.
Informing his lawyer that he had received his letter, the bill, and the promissory note of 900 lire. By the next post he intends to send:

'... a copy of the balance-sheet, with the approval etc. etc. How much I owe to you, my dear Filippo!! In my gratitude I can do no more than pray ardently for your good health and that of your adorable family, which I hold in great affection. A kiss to your son, very best regards to his delightful mother, and all my heart and soul to you. ...'
