Autograph Letter Signed to Constance, Marchioness of Lothian, 1 page 8vo (some traces of mounting on the reverse only), 10 South Street, Park Lane, 13 July 1879. Attempting to make an arrangment for them to meet and to discuss the subject of workhouse nursing.
'Nothing can interest me more than the subject of Workhouse Nursing. But it is very difficult to me to make an appointment before Tuesday. To-day I am engaged. ...'
Constance Harriet Mahonesa (née Chetwynd-Talbot, 1836-1901) was the wife of William Schomberg Robert Kerr, eighth Marquess of Lothian (1832-1870).
